Hippie Vibes

Husband and wife duo photographer Neil Krug and supermodel Joni Harbeck Alexander have been collaborating on a series of images inspired by the 60’s and 70’s. The collaboration started using very old Polaroid film and became so popular online that it evolved into the creation of two books, The Pulp Art Books.

Below are some images from the most recent Vol.2, the publisher describes the series as, ‘an examination of societal life during the 1960s and 70s as well as a stylistic homage to B movies and Spaghetti Westerns.’ The series of images incorporate both spirituality and psychedelia, they definitely give off those hippie vibes! A perfect selection of images to get you in the mood for Glastonbury…

  1. What a lovely job of touching on the counter-currents and magical mystery of the era. Getting past the usual stereotypes is essential if we’re ever to truly understand the hippie experience and its continuing influences. I hope to touch on that in some of my own writing. Thanks for this inspiration.
